How Does Invisalign Work?
Invisalign uses a series of custom-made aligners. You will wear each one as directed for a specific time, often one to two weeks. You will then switch to a new aligner that is slightly closer to your final tooth position. These aligners straighten your teeth by applying pressure that causes them to shift their position gradually.
After your Invisalign treatment, you can expect to wear a retainer that keeps your teeth straight. If you do not wear your aligners or retainer as directed, your results will not be as good. Invisalign requires your participation to do its work.
